Master Rizzo has over 40 years experience in the field of Martial Art. He has experience in many styles, including Taekwondo, Hapkido, Arnis De Mano, Sistema Birada and Iaido. Mr Rizzo is currently Victorian Director for IPEAC (combat sport) and Secretary-General for Sistema Birada.
He commenced training at Moreland in the Art of Karate and later, about the time Taekwondo was introduced to Australia, he became involved with this Korean style.
Master Rizzo has been teaching in his own clubs for over 33 years, and continues to maintain a high standard for himself and his students.
In 1996 Master Rizzo traveled to America to obtain his 5th Dan in Taekwondo, and in 2008 he went to Kyoto, Japan to gain his 2nd Dan in Iaido. He currently holds:
- 7th Dan in Taekwondo
- 6th Degree in Arnis De Mano
- 4th Dan in Hapkido
- 3rd Dan in Iaido
- 3rd Degree in Sistema Birada
Master Rizzo was inducted into the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the World Karate Union Hall of Fame in August 2009.
